Thursday, September 1Â
“Learn and Mingle†event sponsored by a networked group of small business people organized on Facebook by Lori Tiernan, who with her husband Deaglan McEachern, is developing Bhive, a new application that connects small business people in the region.
“The evening will begin with workshops geared towards building out your business. We will then get to know one another over light apps and drinks,†according to a description of the event.
A panel on marketing, moderated by McEachern, will include Tanya Diabaj of Tdfolio Creative, Isabeau Esby of The Idea Garage, and Damien Callahan of Gemini Marketing.

“Digital Portsmouth: The Art of PR.†Experts will offer their views and advice on public relations.

Telluride by the Sea Film Festival announced its line of six feature films. You can find a story about it here. The list of films includes:

“Neruda,†Sept. 17 at 4 p.m.
“Arrival,†Sept. 17 at 8 p.m.

“Maudie,†Sept. 18 at 6:45 p.m.
As Patricia Lynch, executive director of The Music Hall noted, the festival is as much a celebration about Portsmouth as it is about film. “Portsmouth is the perfect town for this perfect weekend,†she said. “With its charming mix of history, salt air, and film lovers, Portsmouth buzzes when Telluride by the Sea arrives.

The Attribution Conference hosted by C3 Metrics,  held at The Music Hall Loft.
C3 is a Portsmouth company that provides tools for advertisers to measure the effectiveness of their promotions, whether they are broadcast on television, sent direct mail, displayed online, or printed in newspapers or magazines.
